  • Quantitative image analysis and dosimetry in nuclear medicine
Research Focus Nuclear medicine images show the physiological function as opposed to traditional anatomical imaging such as CT or MRI. Images are obtained by a gamma camera, Single Photon Emission Tomography (SPECT), or Positron Emission Tomography (PET), etc. Our laboratory provides nuclear medicine studies such as planar imaging, SPECT imaging, SPECT/CT imaging, and PET/CT imaging and development of quantification methods for nuclear medicine diagnosis using image analysis.
Additionally, our laboratory provides radiation protection and dosimetry studies such as technologies of radiation dosimetry, theory and practical skills for safety management, and basic techniques for simulation measurements.
