  • Computer-aided diagnosis (General radiography, Ultrasound image, Nuclear medicine image)
  • Development of iReader system of which computer performs observer study instead of human observer
Research Focus In order to provide high quality medical information to physicians, we have developed various method for evaluating diagnostic accuracy of medical images using ROC/FROC analysis and paired comparison method, and proposed appropriate experimental designs for those purposes. In addition, various types of computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) for general radiography, US, and Nuclear medicine images have been developed. For accomplishing these research topics successfully, we also have developed a unique iReader system of which the computer can perform observer study instead of human observer. We have presented many papers in various international conference and published papers in international journals. We have collaborated with domestic and foreign universities such as Tokyo Medical University (Japan), The University of Chicago (USA), University of Pittsburgh (USA), and Duke University (USA). We will accept gladly international student with frontier spirits for patient-based advanced medical imaging.
