Degree requirements
Doctorate students must enroll in the program for a minimum of three years and earn 12 or more credits and, after receiving the necessary research guidance, must defend their doctoral thesis and pass the final examination.
Their credits must include 2 units from the core health sciences courses, 2 units or more from the students' specialization to be specified by their advisor, an additional 2 units or more from either the core health sciences courses or the students' specialization, and 6 units of research, for a total of 12 or more credit units to be selected based on instructions from the advisor.
However, students who receive recognition from the Board of Health Sciences Professors as having achieved excellence in performance during their time in the program can receive their degree after having been enrolled for a minimum of two years.
