Master Course
Master's Program of Health Sciences
In the Master's program, we have established three departments including Nursing, Radiological Sciences, and Medical Laboratory Sciences, and have developed the curriculum to be easy to learn for both general students and medical professionals.
Course of Nursing
We train nurses, midwives, and public health nurses who continue to improve, are practical, and possess research skills in order to improve the quality of medical treatment and care. We also train researchers and educators to possess superior research abilities and specialized nurses who can provided advanced nursing care to contribute to the development of studies of nursing and health sciences. Public health nurses, midwives, and nurses who worked in their field for three or more years are capable of becoming full-time instructors at the nurse training centers if they complete courses related to education in the Master's Program Course of Nursing. We also offer certified teaching courses for high school teaching specialization licensing (nursing).
Course of Radiological Sciences
Our goal is to train practical leaders and educators/researchers in not just diagnosis/treatment/management skills using radiation, but also in imaging and analysis techniques for medical images that do not use radiation, like MRI, ultrasound, etc. We aim to train highly specialized experts who possess the basic skills to handle constantly evolving medical equipment and can be leaders both in clinical and research settings through clinical, practical research. Through this, we aim to improve the health and welfare of everyone. Graduates from the Graduate School are also eligible to take the Medical Physicist exam.
Course of Medical Laboratory Sciences
The Course of Medical Laboratory Science aims to train educators and researchers to possess advanced clinical testing skills, to be able to train practical leaders in clinical settings, and to be able to handle even cutting-edge technologies in the area of medical technology, a field that grows more international each day. This course aims to offer education utilizing cutting-edge research in the fields of morphology, pathology, physiology, cell biology, molecular biology, immunology, hematology, biochemistry, clinical chemistry, genetic testing studies, pathobiology, medical technology, etc.
Course of Genetic Counseling
In modern medicine, where genomic/genetic medicine is developing and expanding, we train certified genetic counselors who specialize in genomics/genetics and can appropriately respond to the needs of people with genetic issues. In addition, we will develop human resources with research abilities who can contribute to the development of genomic/genetic medicine.
Certified Genetic Counselors® are experts who collaborate with clinical geneticists to provide high-quality clinical genetic medicine, assist clients with genetic issues, and protect their rights. This course has been certified as a training course by the Certified Genetic Counselor System Committee, so those who graduate from this course will be eligible to take the Certified Genetic Counselor exam, which is jointly accredited by the Japanese Society of Genetic Counseling and the Japanese Society of Human Genetics.
